Support Coordination

AHDS can assist participants in exploring their individual NDIS plans, helping to maximise plan options and connecting participants to the most suitable providers of your choice.

What's The Buzz

A social skills programme available at Birdwood and Ridgehaven locations. We offer Early Years, Primary Years, and the Teenagers programmes.

16 classes in total, including two parent sessions.

All facilitators have completed the "What's the Buzz Program" training. Completely covered by NDIS funding or self-funded.

Respite (Ollie's Place)

Located in the beautiful country township of Birdwood in the Adelaide Hills.

A private secured 3 bedroom home, with 2 separate lounge areas, a calming corner, sensory walls, large outdoor play area including a pool table, bikes, scooters & cubby house all located on a 1/2 acre property.

With an abundance of scheduled and free play activities this home is beautifully furnished and ready to accommodate your child’s home away from home.

Open all year round. Children can stay a few nights , up to a few weeks.

Therapy Assistants

At AHDS we have Therapy Assistants level 1 and level 2 working with children as well as adults, under the supervision/guidance of Allied Health Therapist.

Supporting families in schools, from the office in Birdwood, in families homes as well as in the community.

Developmental Educators

Developmental Educators are multi-disciplinary disability specialists, having completed a professional practice degree in disability studies.

As allied health professionals, Developmental Educators, also known as DE’s, occupy roles in a variety of disability, human service, mental health, and educational settings.

Our Director, Liesa has been a Developmental Educator for almost 20 years. She also is a registered Primary school Teacher.

We specialise in social and emotional literacy. Teaching and assessing the skills necessary to maximise self-regulation, independence, social skills, effective communication, and executive functioning.

Support Workers

Assisting the participant to apply their functional skills to improve participation and independence in daily, practical activities.

Focusing on areas such as language and communication, personal care, mobility and movement, interpersonal interactions and community living.

A passionate Developmental Educator with 30 years experience in the Disability field, Liesa is also a qualified Primary School teacher, a proud mum of four sons and strong community leader in the Adelaide Hills township of Birdwood.


Her kindness, compassion and dedication is what makes her a stand out in the industry , truly living to support & empower people with Disabilities, particularly those on the Autism Spectrum to maximise their potential.
